Book Review

Good books can help the soul pursue its creator.

I have recently read the biography of Spurgeon by Arnold Dallimore. Spurgeon called by some the "Prince of Preachers" is a wonderful story of how a man who loved God changed London by preaching the gospel of Christ unashamedly. The book is easy to read and I think it will inspire you to pursue Christ with more purpose and passion. It is always refreshing to me to hear stories of the saints that have gone before us and to hear of their struggles and triumphs. Obviously Spurgeon wasn't perfect but he has taught me about the power of preaching the truth of God's word and the cost and privilege of following Christ in the face of criticism. I would recommend this book to any saint ho wishes to grow in their love for Christ.
